rêve vert a été créé en mai 2020. Il s'agit d'un projet passionné de M. Sasse, qui avait à l'époque un emploi régulier de 9 à 5, et qui a donc commencé par travailler tard le soir et les week-ends.

Notre tout premier article a été notre magnifique panier à linge en jute. Sasse était à la recherche du panier à linge parfait, qui serait également décoratif. Il devait être de forme carrée et fabriqué dans de beaux matériaux naturels, ce qui s'est avéré presque impossible à trouver. La raison de la forme carrée est qu'ils peuvent être placés les uns à côté des autres sans prendre trop de place. À Copenhague, de nombreux appartements n'ont pas beaucoup d'espace, ce qui semblait être une bonne solution.

The hunt began to find someone who could produce this basket and most important of all, with a very high regard for who was producing the items. The choice fell on the very talented women artisans in Bangladesh, who now handmake all our Jute and palm leaf collections.

We have since added more designs and products, all handmade by artisans around the world.

The majority of our products are handmade by women in Bangladesh, using traditional techniques passed down generation to generation, where we support our women artisans with fair wages and the possibility to work from the local rural villages.

This way we hope to help strengthen them in the local communities and be able to pay for education for their children, also improving possibilities for the next generations.
